Although the benefits of music have been known for many years, research on children’s educational achievements has intensified, especially recently. Self-concept is an essential criterion success in education,known as individual’s ideas and thoughts about himself are related to behaviors concrete characteristics. a concept that can be developed with education. The aim this study, which self-concepts 12-13-year-old instrument-playing students were tested, draw attention role musical instrument education development self-concept. was conducted 7th-grade studying public school Ankara. results, applied who played did not play instrument, evaluated statistical program. As result research, although there no statistically significant self-concept scores time start learning it concluded instruments those want higher than others. In addition, anticipated further long-term studies required monitor how children develop over time.
